Wavelength loss tester

The fot-920 MaxTesTer allows an automated bidirectional, dual-wavelength loss test in less than 30 sec, according to the manufacturer. The unit features a dot-matrix lcd for visual guidance in all testing operations. The unit can store up to 512 fiber records before downloading them to a hard drive using the company`s ToolBox software. The tester features an optional full-duplex digital talk set. A user can also select a message from a list of 14 predefined messages and send it through the fiber under test to the unit at the other location. An optional visual fault locator creates a red glow through most yellow-jacketed fibers for end-to-end identification of pinpoint breaks, bends, splices, and faulty connectors over a distance to 5 km.
