Filter wdm

The Filter wavelength-division multiplexer enables active fiber monitoring without disrupting traffic on a network system operating in the 1550-nm signal band. The device allows a supervisory channel to be added at 1510 or 1625 nm in a monitoring system to check the integrity of a fiber network while it is in operation. This enables a fiber fault to be detected in real time. The 1510/1550- or 1625/1550-nm fwdm has low insertion loss and high channel isolation, according to the manufacturer. Polarization sensitivity is <0.1 dB over wavelength and temperature. The device uses interference filters and its optical path is epoxy-free.
