Oct. 22, 2001--Callisma, Inc. and Sigma Networks join to define an automated design package process to enable rapid provisioning of metro connectivity.

Callisma, Inc., a provider of network consulting services, announced the completion of a project with Sigma Networks SM, Inc., a provider of metro interconnect services, to define an automated design package process to enable rapid provisioning of metro connectivity.

Sigma Networks collaborated with Callisma to develop processes to provide seamlessly compatible and streamlined services to carrier and service provider partners and customers. Prior to launching its all-optical Metro Area Interconnect Networks (MAINs), Sigma Networks worked with Callisma to create operations systems to automate and speed the deployment of hub sites. By standardizing its network architecture and services within each of its metro markets, Sigma Networks is able to offer services throughout its network with rapid provisioning, delivering service in days rather than months. The MAIN is the first metro area network built from the outset to support rapidly provisioned, scalable bandwidth and a broad, flexible array of metro SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, and Wavelength Services.
