ANTEC delivers high-power gain flattened EDFA

May 3, 2001--ANTEC, a provider of hybrid fiber/coaxial broadband transport, has added a high-power Gain Flattened Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier to its product portfolio.

ANTEC (Nasdaq: ANTC), a provider of hybrid fiber/coaxial (HFC) broadband transport, has added a high-power (20 dBm) Gain Flattened Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (GF-EDFA) to its product portfolio.

The GF-EDFA, which amplifies signals in the 1550 nm band, is complementary with ANTEC's existing Laser Link 1550 nm Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) Transplex Transport System and Light

The new GF-EDFA will be available at the end of Q201.
