Feb. 23, 2001--Zygo TeraOptix, a component supplier for the optical telecommunications market, announced the receipt of a significant purchase order from Lightchip, Inc. of Salem, New Hampshire.

Zygo TeraOptix (NASDAQ:ZIGO), a component supplier for the optical telecommunications market, announced the receipt of a significant purchase order from Lightchip, Inc. of Salem, New Hampshire.

The purchase order covers components critical for Lightchip's Wavelength Division Multiplexing systems, to be delivered over the next few quarters.

A registration statement relating to the Company's common stock has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
