Optical isolator

Suitable for diode lasers operating at a center wavelength of 850 nm, this compact Faraday optical isolator provides 35-dB peak isolation and isolates over more than 20 nm without any adjustments. A 3 ¥ 8-mm elliptical aperture eliminates the need for beam-shaping optics between the laser and isolator. A half waveplate at the output of each isolator provides flexibility in polarization orientation. Housed in a 1.5 ¥ 1.5 ¥ 3.2-inch package, the isolator is compatible with all standard mounting hardware.
