Motorized fiber-optic attenuators

Motorized fiber-optic attenuators electrically set attenuation values over a 70-dB range for active gain equalization in fiber-amplified dense WDM systems. Housed in a 20 ¥ 225 ¥ 135-mm package, they feature a step-up/step-down interface and an interface for directly setting numerical attenuation values. The units have a polarization-dependent loss of 0.05 dB and a repeatability of 0.05 dB.
