A new fiber-optic networks component supplier, Kymata Ltd. (Livingston, Scotland), made its debut at this year`s Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC) in San Diego, introducing optoelectronic devices for WDM networks. The European company will begin commercial manufacturing by the end of 1999. Kymata is forging alliances with systems builders who are developing new-generation communications equipment for long-haul and metropolitan applications.
