Multichannel multiplexer
The ect1000 multiplexer is available in a 6- or 8-bit configuration. The 6-bit version supports up to 20 video channels, 120 audio channels, 20 (data rate to 12 Mbits/sec) or 120 data channels (data rate to 2.1 Mbits/sec), and up to 60 T1/E1 channels. The 8-bit version supports up to 20 video channels, 160 audio channels, 20 (data rate to 12 Mbits/sec) or 160 (data rate to 1.6 Mbits/sec) data channels, and up to 80 T1 channels. The system employs digital signal processing, time-division multiplexing, and Fibre Channel with a 1.5-Gbit/sec data rate.
