CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) says it has extended its fiber-optic network into metro Jacksonville, FL. The service provider's fiber infrastructure now connects to two third-party data centers to deliver data and cloud-based services.
Customers using the Jacksonville data centers can now connect to primary or backup Internet service or long-haul data products using CenturyLink's fiber cable network. They also can access CenturyLink's data services portfolio, which includes:
- CenturyLink IQ Internet Port: Scalable Internet connectivity at access speeds customized to meet the customer’s business need.
- CenturyLink IQ Networking Private Port: A private IP-based VPN service that combines voice and data applications onto a single network.
- Optical Wavelength Service: Fully managed, private, point-to-point service using DWDM technology.
