Coherent, Inc. ships new Pico Pass DWDM filters

Coherent, Inc. (Nasdaq: COHR) announced that in December 2000 it shipped its first 200GHz DWDM filters for customer evaluation.

Coherent, Inc. (Nasdaq: COHR) announced that in December 2000 it shipped its first 200GHz DWDM filters for customer evaluation. These Pico Pass optical telecommunications filters were developed and produced at Coherent's Auburn Division.

"We plan to deliver additional test articles through February 2001 with production runs scheduled to commence in March 2001," stated John Ambroseo, President of Coherent's Photonics Group. He added that production would be performed in Coherent's new 80,000 square foot telecommunication facility in Auburn.
