SEPTEMBER 19, 2008 -- eGtran Corp. (search for eGtran) has introduced its second generation of client-side 40-Gbit/sec transponders and a new line of 40G ICs and components. The new ICs include a 40G transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with integrated limiting and operational amplifiers, as well as an integrated 40G laser/modulator driver IC.

IC evaluation samples will be available starting in October 2008. The TIA will be incorporated into eGtran's new MSA-compliant 40G receiver, and the laser/modulator driver IC will be incorporated into a small form factor, single-chip laser/modulator GPPO (SSMP) connectorized package.

eGtran's 40G MSA-compliant receiver and packaged driver will be available for evaluation in Q4 2009.
