FibreXpress host bus adapters feature 266-Mbaud or 1.062-Gbaud data- transmission rates, a 100-Mbyte/sec data rate, Fibre Channel class 1, 2 or 3 communications, and 128 or 512 kbytes of on-card buffer memory. The adapters enable fiber-optic or copper link support; switched fabric; arbitrated-loop or point-to-point configurations; and 10 km between nodes.
