The network update sees Juniper Networks’ MX10003, MX480, and MX204 Universal Routing Platforms installed at various points of the network to perform various core, aggregation, and edge functions. Segment routing is being used to route traffic across Macquarie Telecom’s national product network, the first by an Australian Juniper Networks customer on the MX10K platform.

“It is vital that we automate our delivery and assurance remediation capabilities,” says Luke Clifton, group executive at Macquarie Telecom Group. “Juniper networks has enabled Macquarie Telecom to scale up our networks as part of our long-term growth, especially in light of the continued growth in demand for our services across Australia businesses.”

The nationwide network upgrade completion is slated for the end of this year.
