May 16, 2005 Boston, MA and Reston, VA -- Beyond the Network America (BtNAccess), a global IP telephony provider, has selected Hibernia Atlantic's trans-Atlantic cable network to provide optical level service from New York to London. BtNAccess says the agreement was driven by Hibernia's ability to offer route diversity and enhanced optical level service, as well as Hibernia's ability to route traffic directly to Dublin.

"BtNAccess is focused on implementing the best solutions to meet our customers' voice and data requirements, including hosted PBX and MPLS VPN to carriers, service, providers and enterprises," remarks Dan Lovatt, CEO of BtNAccess. "We see Hibernia Atlantic's extensive suite of network services, large bandwidth capacity, and extremely low latency as perfect solutions for our client's growing, next-generation broadband needs."

Hibernia Atlantic's direct trans-Atlantic cable route from the US and Canada to Ireland and the UK employs cable connections for optical and Ethernet services, up to Gigabit Ethernet and 10-Gbit/sec wavelengths, within 63 milliseconds round trip, according to a press release.

"We welcome BtNAccess to Hibernia's growing roster of customers," concludes Bjarni Thorvardarson, CEO of Hibernia Atlantic. "We believe the two companies share a common objective: to provide the highest level of network service and support to our customers at the most competitive pricing."
