21 October 2002 -- HighSpeed Office, London, a provider of advanced communications solutions has selected RAD Data Communications' IPmux TDM over IP (TDMoIP) gateway to deliver converged voice and data services.

"TDM over IP proved to be the perfect way to converge voice and data quickly and with minimum disruption, whilst preserving legacy equipment," says Andy Millar, Voice Services Manager, HighSpeed Office. "We tested RAD's IPmux on-site and found that there was no discernable difference in quality compared to traditional voice technology."

The TDMoIP solution allows circuit extension over IP networks, enabling voice, video and data traffic to be carried transparently over high bandwidth networks, such as Gigabit Ethernet, IP and MPLS. This allows HighSpeed Office's customers to use their IP networks for telephony applications with the same level of quality, reliability and functionality currently provided by TDM networks, and without the need to replace TDM switches. The system was installed by GFI, an authorised RAD distributor in the UK.

HighSpeed Office is a customer service focused, integrated communications provider bringing managed voice, Internet, video and data solutions to business customers in UK metropolitan markets. Working in partnership with property owners, the company installs and operates next generation networks.
