Aureon Technology deploys 100-Gbps fiber-optic network with Coriant
Coriant says it has supplied its 7100 Nano Packet Optical Transport Platform to Aureon Technology for the network transport and business communications services provider's 100-Gbps fiber-optic network expansion. In particular, the service provider will use the packet-optical transport systems to enable its Aureon Fiber Optic Network to meet the present and future needs of its rural and metropolitan-based customers.
Systems integrator t3 Wireless collaborated in the delivery of the systems for the Aureon Fiber Optic Network, which spans thousands of miles and connects hundreds of communities. The first 7100 Nano deployments will cover the northeast quadrant of Iowa and include 10 network nodes. Des Moines-based Aureon, the new name for the INS family of companies, provides network, human resources, and contact center services.
"Access to reliable and high-quality broadband services is critical to economic development and business growth as application demands become increasingly dynamic and bandwidth intensive," said Will Walling, vice president of network services at Aureon Technology. "By partnering with Coriant and t3 Wireless, we can offer best-in-class technology innovation to boost the scalability and performance of our fiber-optic network to better serve our clients."
