Full-service competitive communications provider Electric Lightwave Inc. (eli), Sacramento, CA, has received approval from the California Public Utility Commission to provide competitive local telephone service to businesses in the city of Roseville, CA. According to eli officials, Roseville businesses had demanded high-bandwidth business networks with Internet access and frame relay. eli has installed more than 200 mi of fiber-optic cable in the metropolitan Sacramento area and plans to add another 40 mi in Roseville.
