PEG Bandwidth LLC, a provider of customized wireless backhaul networks and other wireless infrastructure, says it has closed the acquisition of the broadband operations of Contact Network Inc. doing business as InLine. InLine currently provides broadband services in Mississippi and Alabama to small and medium-sized businesses, government entities, educational institutions and large carriers.
InLine has constructed a dense and diverse, state of the art fiber-optic network covering almost 1,100 route miles in Mississippi and Alabama. InLine uses its network to provide broadband services to its communities, including schools, hospitals, first responders, and other large businesses. The acquisition will provide a platform for PEG Bandwidth’s expansion of its fiber-based broadband services into these markets.
“InLine has been providing extraordinary service to its customers for over 20 years,” says PEG Bandwidth’s chief executive officer, Rich Ruben. “We are excited to have Martin Costa and the entire InLine team join the PEG Bandwidth family. The demand for broadband services continues to grow exponentially in rural communities, and this acquisition will provide great advantages to the customers and communities we serve.”
InLine will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of PEG Bandwidth with InLine president Martin Costa retaining his position.
