AuraServ Communications selects Global Crossing to provide integrated network services
AuraServ Communications, a managed service provider, has signed a three-year agreement with Global Crossing Ltd. (NYSE: GX), which provides integrated telecommunications solutions over the world's most extensive global IP-based fiber optic network.
AuraServ's hosted service model uses packet voice technology to provide businesses with a new way to integrate a their phones and computers, allowing users to receive all their communications through the PC, including both voicemail and e-mail. AuraServ will use Global Crossing's IP network as its backbone to connect the IP-based hardware and software applications that reside at AuraServ's headquarters in Colorado. This will provide AuraServ's business customers with advanced voice and messaging services with little upfront capital investment.
Under the agreement, Global Crossing will provide AuraServ with a variety of data services for local connectivity and backbone transport, including ATM transport, frame relay, DSL and IP services.
