MS3 to build packet-optical network with Transmode gear

Packet-optical transport systems vendor Transmode says that MS3 of the UK is in the midst of building a new business access network in Hull using Transmode’s TM-Series platforms, including the Native Packet Optical 2.0 Ethernet Muxponder (EMXP). MS3 will use the new infrastructure to set up shop as a high-speed alternative communications provider for Hull and the surrounding region.

Packet-optical transport systems vendor Transmode says that MS3 of the UK is in the midst of building a new business access network in Hull using Transmode’s TM-Series platforms, including the Native Packet Optical 2.0 Ethernet Muxponder (EMXP). MS3 will use the new infrastructure to set up shop as a high-speed alternative communications provider for Hull and the surrounding region.

The TM-Series packet-optical transport systems will ensure the network can support large signal capacities, including the provision of 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Internet services to businesses throughout the city. The first phase of the new network is operational, making MS3 the area’s first alternative service provider. MS3 has spent more than £3 million on the fiber-optic network project so far.
