Quantifi Photonics opens a European subsidiary and German office

Nov. 6, 2023
The new location establishes a foothold for the test and measurement company in the growing European optical market.

Quantifi has debuted a new wholly owned European subsidiary, Quantifi Photonics GmbH, establishing a base in a critical market for the test and measurement company. Based in Tübingen, Germany, the office in Tübingen will serve as a customer support and R&D center.

The company said that this strategic expansion reflects Quantifi’s commitment to expanding its customer support capabilities in the region and serving the important and fast-growing European photonics industry.

Quantifi Photonics' new business office in Germany will serve as a hub for sales and technical support, ensuring that the company's test solutions are readily accessible to customers and partners across the European market.

The company comprehensively tests various photonic devices, from silicon photonics to co-packaged and pluggable optics. These next-generation interconnect technologies are an essential focus for European photonics developers and manufacturers looking to overcome the test challenges of scaling to high-volume manufacturing to meet the demand for AI, HPC and Cloud applications.

Quantifi offers a portfolio of optical and electro-optical instruments--including the recently announced digital sampling oscilloscope platform--available in benchtop, rack-mountable, and the open-standard PXI format.

“Establishing a European subsidiary and office in the region is an important milestone for the company, and I’m excited about our investment and a renewed focus on this crucial photonics market,” said Klaus Engenhardt, director of broadband products and general manager (Europe) for Quantifi Photonics. “Photonics technologies are evolving faster than ever, and we have solutions, experience and capabilities to work with R&D labs and manufacturers to overcome emerging test challenges.”
