July 14, 2005 Englewood Cliffs, NJ -- Vitex, a North American supplier of Asian fiber-optic products, has announced the availability of the latest product in XL Photonics' XPD1000 series. The 10-Gbit/sec PIN-TIA handles wavelengths ranging from 1000 nm to 1600 nm.
The product is available in either coaxial pigtailed or ROSA package types. According to the company, the product's key features include low group delay over the bandwidth, high transimpedance gain, a single power supply, and low power consumption.
XL Photonics provides optical transmitter/receiver modules for WDM and SONET/SDH applications. The company's products are widely used by module and system developers in Korea. According to Vitex, since XL Photonics manufactures its own chips, its XPD1000 products are less costly than similar products embedded with more expensive chips from Japan.Sponsored Recommendations
