Hippi standard group

An international industry group has formed to advance the high-performance parallel interface networking standard and to accelerate the growth of Hippi connectivity for many applications. The Hippi Networking Forum provides training, compliance testing and demonstrations of Hippi networking technologies and their use with other technologies. Hippi is an American National Standards Institute switched-network standard that has a dual-wide data rate of 1.6 gigabits per second. Hippi works with parallel copper media, as well as with singlemode and multimode fiber for serial connections that span tens of kilometers.
