Photop announces FSMOB platform at OFC

MARCH 17, 2009 -- Photop Technologies will use its booth at OFC/NFOEC 2009 to unveil its new FSOB technology.

MARCH 17, 2009 -- Photop Technologies Inc. (search Lightwave for Photop) will use its booth (#713) at OFC/NFOEC 2009 to unveil its new FSOB technology.

By incorporating free-space technology with micro-optics, FSMOB technology dramatically increases device functional density and improves optical performance while reduce device size, Photop says. The combination of the FSMOB technology platform and intelligent software/firmware design supports the upgrade of optical networks to 40G/100G by supplying key components and modules, the company asserts. These products include dispersion management, DPSK/DQPSK demodulator, polarization diverse 90° optical hybrid, PMDC, and others.
