DALSA delivers MEMS for JDSU's wavelength-selective switches

NOVEMBER 18, 2010 -- MEMS foundry DALSA Semiconductor, a division of DALSA Corp. (TSX:DSA), says it has qualified a new generation of optical MEMS products for JDSU. DALSA will supply the wavelength-selective switches (WSSs) for JDSU’s reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) offerings.

"We are happy to report that after an intense qualification period, DALSA and JDSU are moving to expand production of this latest generation of MEMS based products for the optical communication market. Engineering teams from both companies collaborated closely, DALSA says, to build on what DALSA described as “the companies' existing long-term relationship.”
