Hatteras Networks taps GigOptix for ASIC design

JUNE 16, 2010 -- Ethernet equipment developer Hatteras Networks has selected GigOptix for a next-generation ASIC design. Details of the ASIC were not released.

JUNE 16, 2010 -- Ethernet equipment developer Hatteras Networks has selected GigOptix (OTC Bulletin Board: GGOX) for a next-generation ASIC design. Details of the ASIC were not released.

Mark Ventura, vice president of hardware engineering at Hatteras Networks, stated, "This partnership with GigOptix provides Hatteras with ASIC technology that significantly reduces the power consumption required and enhances the feature set for Hatteras products and solutions. GigOptix’s technology provides Hatteras with additional advantages to address the demanding technical requirements of service providers.”
