Microchip Technology META-DX1 1.2-Tbps Ethernet PHY with MACsec and FlexE

META-DX1 combines 100GbE, 400GbE, FlexE, nanosecond timestamping accuracy, and a MACsec security engine in a single chip with terabit capacity.
Microchip Technology asserts the META-DX1 family is the industry's first terabit-scale Ethernet PHY. It supports up to 1.2 Tbps and enables the highest-density 400GbE and FlexE Connectivity, the company adds. META-DX1 combines 100GbE, 400GbE, FlexE, nanosecond timestamping accuracy, and a MACsec security engine in a single chip with terabit capacity.

Judge’s comment: “This PHY chip stands out in capacity and feature set. It does enable very dense circuit packs with support for critical features (FlexE and MACsec).”
