ADC Telecommunications Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Hadax Electronics Inc. (South Hackensack, NJ) for approximately $25 million. Hadax produces remote test and access systems that enable remote testing of T1 (1.554-Mbit/sec) and E1 (2.048-Mbit/sec) circuits. At the closing of the transaction, ADC expects to take a presently unspecified one-time charge for purchased research and development expense.
