Crosspoint switch

The TQ8033 crosspoint switch integrated circuit supports greater than 1.5 Gbits/sec per channel and is designed for high-definition TV, Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, SONET/ATM, and proprietary switching system markets. The design incorporates two new features: a 2:1 (62 x 32) imput-to-output architecture for expandability and the addition of a 33rd output channel for added flexibility. The switch`s data eye opening is greater than 90% (typical) for an aggregate single-chip capacity of greater than 50 Gbits/sec. Multiple devices can be arrayed to achieve aggregate switching capacities of greater than 100 Gbits/sec. Pricing is $425 each at a quantity of 1000.
