CODEON Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of optical components for the fiber optic telecommunications industry, announced that Siemens Information and Communication Networks (ICN), a provider of integrated voice and data networks for enterprises, carriers and service providers, has chosen CODEON's 10Gb/s and 40Gb/s high-speed optical modulators for a field trial.
Comprehensive lab testing is currently underway to be followed by field trials in the second quarter of this year. Both companies expect successful completion of the testing to result in a commercial agreement.
