Cable Bahamas Ltd., Nassau, Bahamas, is building a 1120-kilometer hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable-TV system. The company will use ADC Telecommunications Inc.`s Homeworx hybrid fiber/ coaxial-cable access platform and physical connectivity products to build the network that will pass 70,000 households and 14,300 hotel rooms with 180 to 225 nodes per home. Cable Bahamas is discussing the possibility of a 400-km undersea fiber-optic system linking the islands of Abaco, Grand Bahama, and New Providence to Florida.
