Catvlinx Model 2811 broadband fiber-optic video link suits cable-TV narrow broadcasting, campus video distribution, multimedia retrieval and videoconferencing. The vestigial sideband/AM fiber-optic link provides analog bandwidth from 5 MH¥to higher than 330 MHz. When used with VCRs and camcorders with standard cable-TV modulators, Model 2811 can transport 10 or more TV channels (within one octave) over 15 km at 1300 nm. Carrier-to-noise ratio typically exceeds 55 dB, but can vary with distance and channel loading.
