Fiber-optic video link

CatvLite 1704/1705 broadband fiber-optic video link provides an LED-based system for transferring 10 Vsb/am standard TV channels over multimode optical fiber. Bandwidth is from 5 to 166 MHz. Using standard VCRs, cameras and cable-TV modulators, or a cable-TV feed, the link transports over distances of 3 or 0.75 km at 1300 and 850 nm, respectively. Carrier-to-noise ratio is typically 52 to 55 dB, depending on channel loading and system optical loss. The device is compatible with UTP-based video baluns and is priced from $500.
