WDM components

APA Optics Inc. in Minneapolis is introducing a line of wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) optical modulator components. Products include WDM receivers consisting of tunable optics for a 4-channel detector/electronic amplifier, and packaged and unpackaged optical modulators for high-density WDM applications. Other products are the integrated optic modulator and electronic driver for integrated optic modulators. These devices will be produced at APA`s new optoelectronics manufacturing center in Aberdeen, SD, which is under construction and expected to open in early 1997 (see Lightwave, July 1995, page 6). Initial manufacturing and custom optics fabrication take place in Minneapolis.
