Optical transceivers and passive network systems vendor Champion ONE says it now offers CXP optical modules as part of its Passport universal transceiver line.

Designed for short-reach data center requirements, the CXP offers 12x10-Gbps Ethernet interface capabilities. The optical modules support multiple rates, from 1.06 to 11.3 Gbps per channel, over up to 100 m on OM3 multimode fiber.

The MSA-compliant devices operate off of a single 3.3-V power source, with a maximum power consumption of 3.5 W.

"This is an exciting new development for Champion ONE," says John Jutila, CEO. "We pride ourselves on being sensitive to the specific demands of each market we serve, and strive to provide the most innovative solutions at the best value to meet their needs. We believe these new transceivers will further cement our reputation as a leader in the growing data-center market."

Champion ONE offers a 5-year warranty on all elements of the Passport line.
