Fiber-optic transceiver
The 1418A fiber-optic transceiver extends the range of ATM applications to 15 km. It supports applications in LAN and WAN equipment, such as adapters, routers, switches, and backbone. This singlemode optical transceiver uses an InGaAsP multiquantum-well uncooled laser and a cmos driver IC to provide constant automatic optical output power control over the operating power range of 0° to +70°C.
