Ethernet transceivers

Gigabit Ethernet transceivers are available in 1300 nm for singlemode applications and 850 nm for multimode applications. Complex packets of data, such as those used in video and imaging applications, can be transmitted through high-speed, switch-based networks at 1000 Mbits/sec. Both transceivers operate at 5V, and the 1300-nm device comes in a 3.3V version. The transceivers suit atm, Sonet-sdh, escon/sbcon, Fibre Channel, and fddi applications.
