Fiber-optic transceiver

The 1300-nm Fabry-Perot laser-based transceiver operates at data rates of 1.25 Gbits/sec on 50- and 62.5-micron multimode fiber links of up to 850 m. It also operates over singlemode fiber for lengths of at least 2 km. The transceiver comes in a standard 1 9 sip footprint with a duplex SC connector specified in Fibre Channel, ieee 802.3 lans, and atm/sonet standards. The unit suits applications such as full-motion video and other multimedia-information transmissions, including video production that manipulates video, audio, and other digitized information. Temperature range is 0? to +70?C. The price is $240 for high-volume quantities.
