Tunable filter

The mem-tune optical filter is a low-loss, polarization-insensitive, microelectromechanical Fabry-Perot device. The tunable filter features 100-nm tuning range and operates at >10 nm/microsec. Tuning is achieved using an external DC voltage. Tuning range is 60 to 100 nm, and polarization sensitivity is <0.05 dB. Fiber-to-fiber loss is <2 dB. The device is suitable for wavelength monitoring, wavelength selection and routing, and dynamic wavelength conversion. The unit is fiber-pigtailed and hermetically sealed and has sma electrical connection.
