Multi-channel test system

The 7900B system mainframe can synchronously modulate up to 200 fiber-optic source modules and includes input and output modulation ports. It also includes a GPIB/IEEE-488.2 interface and LabVIEW instrument drivers. The system consists of an 8-bay instrument mainframe and supporting plug-in modules. It is suitable for WDM test applications, including EDFA testing and fiber-optic component characterization. The mainframe can be configured with switch or tunable attenuator modules.
