Laser diode module

The FU-445SDF uncooled 1.3-micron waveband direct feedback laser diode module is designed for 2.5-Gbit/sec applications. These include such telecommunications applications as STM-16, S16.1, and L16.1 for distances to 50 km, including high-speed links in the access network. For data communications, the diode is suitable for 2.4-Gbit/sec Gigabit Ethernet transceivers. The unit is surface-mountable and housed in a coolerless mini dual-inline flat ceramic package. The device incorporates an optical isolator for a low RIN--typically less than 150-dB/Hz. Input is 25-ohm impedance with a bias tee. A thermistor is available for optimizing the operating point over temperature.
