dsc Communications (Plano, TX) will supply optical transmission equipment to NorSea Com, the Norwegian company owned by Enitel and Telia. The equipment will be used on NorSea`s sdh undersea network connecting Norway with the United Kingdom. dsc`s optical transmission system will connect the terminal stations in both countries via five offshore platforms. The total system length is more than 900 route-km with two fiber-optic pairs equipped. The longest of the six spans is 275 km.
