atm transceiver

This long-reach 9-pin singlemode OC-3 atm laser transceiver provides maximum data rates of 156 Mbits/sec. The transceiver is compatible with standard atm chipsets, and its 9-pin footprint makes it interchangeable with multimode transceiver modules over 62.5/125-micron optical fiber. It offers an SC duplex singlemode connector interface and can be mated with either simplex or duplex optical connectors meeting jis C 5973 standards. The device achieves sensitivities of -36 dBm by using InGaAs pin photodiodes and GaAs transimpedence amplifiers. Optically stabilized 1300-nm laser diodes ensure that optical output power will not vary more than 0.5 dB over the range of temperature and power supply variations. The transceiver is compliant with Class 1 laser safety limits as defined by fda, iec and cenelec. These safety criteria are also met when the optical connector is removed, and if a single fault condition occurs.
