Koncent Communication Inc., fiber-optic component manufacturer and supplier of crystal and micro-optical components, has introduced its Optical Contact (or Optical Cemented) Etalon.

The new etalon can be widely used in interleaver, tunable filter, wavelength locker, dispersion compensation, interferometer, optical instrument, and laser cavity. Based on Koncent's unique manufacturing process, these Epoxy-free Etalons give much higher power handling capacity than the conventional UV or epoxy cemented Etalon.

Koncent's optical contact Etalon features high FSR tolerance, high precision fabrication, great thermal stability, and proven optical contact strength, say company representatives.
