Global Opticom presents its new Tunable Optical Attenuator (TOA). This compact product -- suitable for printed circuit board mounting -- achieves high resolution and repeatability, low insertion loss, and low PDL. Other features include latching capability, hermetic sealing, and feedback signal for attenuation monitoring.

The TOA has a wide range of applications, ranging from gain flattening in optical amplifiers to dynamic power leveling in configurable optical networks. Its wide window of operational wavelength makes it suitable for multi-channel applications.
