Fiber-optic transceivers

Bit-Driver fiber-optic transceivers allow any copper Ethernet LAN to be switched to a fiber-to-the-desktop LAN. Transceiver Models 2848 (DTE port) and 2849 (Thicknet tap) connect AUI Ethernet-based equipment to any fiber-optic 10Base-FL or fiber-optic inter-repeater link (foirl) network. Models 2850 (RJ-45 connector) and 2851 (BNC connector) extend Ethernet-based STP and coaxial-cable LAN link distances to 10 km. All four transceivers support 10Base-FL or foirl, Ethernet LAN and ieee 802.3 standards. Link status, collision, receive data, transmit data and power LED indicators are standard, with options for multimode or singlemode. ST, SMA and FC connectors are available.
