    A line card integrated circuit includes a 10 Gbit/s laser-diode driver, 16:1 mux, 1:16 demux, and a transport termination transceiver for operation with OC-192/STM-64 SONET/SDH lasers. The driver has rise and fall times of <35 ps and very low jitter and operates from -40°C to 125°C.
