MARCH 21, 2007 -- Fiberxon (search for Fiberxon) says it will showcase a new 10-Gbit/sec SFP+ optical transceiver product line at OFC next week.

Fiberxon asserts its new SFP+ product line offers the lowest power consumption in the smallest pluggable transceiver form factor for high-density 10-Gbit/sec applications.

"The SFP+ product line is a new addition to our successful 10-Gbit/sec product lines, including our industry-leading XFP products," commented Dr. Rang-Chen Yu, vice president of datacom/telecom PLG of Fiberxon. "The new SFP+ products will support both 10-Gigabit Ethernet and SONET/SDH applications.
