Oplink says its 100G 4x28G MLSE CFP platform offers a cost-effective solution for 100G metro network and data center interconnect applications. Thanks to the integrated maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalization technology, the CFP modules adopt off-the-shelf optical components for 28G NRZ transmission, enabling a cost point much lower than coherent alternatives.

Thanks to the integrated maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalization technology, the CFP modules adopt off-the-shelf optical components for 28G NRZ transmission, enabling a cost point much lower than coherent alternatives. The four 28G optical lanes of each CFP module are operated at DWDM channels on the ITU grid.   • Modest OSNR performance for metro application
  • 40-km point-to-point transmission
